The 2010 Euclid Cabernet is from the eastern slope of Howell Mountain and is a wine of great intensity, balance and structure. It has aromas of rose petals, tangerine zest, cassis and peach. Aromas from the barrel include coffee candy, caramel, vanilla, graham cracker and dark chocolate.
The feeling in the mouth is silky, voluptuous and mouthwatering featuring flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, and dark cherries followed by caramel, vanilla, graham cracker, coffee candy, tobacco, and a long dark chocolate finish. It has a great balance from the entry to the finish. The texture, nuance, and intensity of this wine are what we always hope to achieve. We are very pleased with this vintage and hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.

2011 Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley
The 2011 Euclid Cabernet is from the Clark Claudon Vineyard on the North-Eastern side of Howell Mountain at 800 to 1000 ft elevation. The vintage was marked by a long, cool growing season allowing a long hang time and even ripening of the fruit. The small berry size led to very good concentration in the resulting wine. The fruit was handpicked in the early morning. Fermentation was at a high temperature allowing for good extraction of flavor and body. The Euclid 2011 Cabernet is aged in 50% new French oak and the remainder in once-used French oak barrels from coopers that we know well for 24 months.
The wine is delicate and balanced with good acidity. It has aromas of fresh flowers, black pepper, tobacco, and black currant. Aromas from the barrels include dark roasted coffee, toffee, and milk chocolate.
The wine has a silky, juicy texture with flavors of caramel, vanilla, tobacco, and a long finish with a hint of bitter chocolate and fine tannins. The wine is showing very well now and will last for years to come. The wine is unfiltered.

2011 Syrah, Sierra Foothills
Our Syrah comes from the Ravens Oak Vineyard and Villa Vallecito Vineyard at 1500 ft elevation in the Sierra foothills. It is 500 ft above the Melones Reservoir, which allows for a Mediterranean type climate.
The 2011 vintage in the Sierra Foothills was one of the cooler seasons, allowing a slower than usual ripening of the fruit and long hang time. The wine was aged in once-used French oak barrels for 24 months.
This is a fresh wine with good balance and good acidity. There are aromas of cherry, black licorice, vanilla, light roast coffee, and a hint of clove and cinnamon. It has good richness and balance from start to finish. The mouthfeel is juicy and it has a long fresh finish. This wine has flavors of cherry, cinnamon, and milk chocolate. The finish has a slight meatiness and a hint of bitter chocolate.

2012 Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley
The 2012 Euclid Cabernet Sauvignon is from the Clark Claudon Vineyard on the North-Eastern side of Howell Mountain at 800 to 1000 feet elevation. The height in combination with the slope creates stress as the vine digs deep for water. Thus, the berries from these vines are very small and flavors are concentrated.
The weather during the 2012 Vintage was very conducive to fruit development, with warm days and cool nights allowing for long hang-time on the vine. This increased ripening time brought more complexities and flavors to the fruit. We harvested in the early morning on September 24th to ensure the fruit was kept cool and in-tank by the mid-morning sun. The grapes were sorted, crushed and de-stemmed in the late morning then put into the tank for fermentation. The tank was warmed to achieve a high level of heat during the early stages of fermentation for maximum extraction of flavor and body from the skins. Post-fermentation, the wine was aged in 50% new French oak and 50% once-used French oak for 24 months.
Rich and supple with a great balance of acidity and well-integrated tannins, there are aromas of cigar box, violets, licorice, cherries, and cinnamon. The wine has a juicy mouthwatering texture in the mouth with flavors of currant, blackberry, dried mushroom, cocoa, roasted coffee, and finishes with a hint of slight orange zest.

The 2012 Sierra Foothills Syrah is from the Tanner Vineyard just outside Murphy’s California. The fruit was handpicked in the early morning and hand sorted. Fermentation was at high temperature for good extraction of body and flavor. The wine was aged in once-used French oak barrels for 19 months.
The wine has a dark purple color. There are aromas of cherries, fresh fig, savory smoked meats, red flowers, and cinnamon. There are flavors of cherries, smoked meats, black olive, and elderberry. The wine is well-balanced medium-bodied wine with a silky texture and long spicy finish.

2013 Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley
The Earthquake Vintage. We knew how good this Vintage was from the time we picked these grapes but it really hit home when we could smell the wine as some of it was slowly running down the drain the morning of the earthquake. Such a memorable aroma. The grapes are from the Clark Cloudon Vineyard on Howell Mountain.
The wine was aged for 24 months in 60% New French Oak and 40% Once used French Oak barrels.
It is a very concentrated wine with a rich firm structure and very good balance. It has flavors and aromas of graham cracker, cinnamon, vanilla, and a chocolate croissant. It has a round satiny feel in the mouth and finishes with orange zest and grainy tannins.
This wine is juicy and delicious. It would pair very well with a good steak.

Our 2013 Syrah comes from the Renner Vineyard outside of Murphy’s California in the Sierra Foothills. The vineyard is located above the Melones Reservoir at 800 to 1000 ft elevation.
The wine was aged for 24 months in once-used French Oak barrels and one year in bottle.
It has a warm, toasty Hazelnut aroma with notes of Black currant, black licorice, white flowers and occasionally cinnamon.
This is a rich, juicy, silky wine with a mouthwatering texture. There are flavors of vanilla, dark chocolate, black currant.

The 2014 Euclid Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is our 6th vintage from the Clark Claudon Vineyard on the Northeastern side of Howell Mountain at 800 to 1000 foot elevation.
The wine was aged in 60% new French oak and 40% once-used French oak for 24 months and in bottle for 16 months.
There is a seductive aroma of chocolate-covered cherries on the entry with notes of pomegranate, ginger spice, and fresh flowers. This is a wine with great richness from start to finish with a wonderful balance and silky texture. There are flavors of dark chocolate, cherries, vanilla, and a long fresh orange zest finish that reminds of dark chocolate orange sticks. ( Mom’s favorite) This is a wine that is hard to put down.

One of our main goals is to create wines with great balance, intensity, and luscious texture. This wine does that and more. It is rich and vibrant from start to finish. Aromas of elderflower, a hint of smoked bacon, brown sugar and coconut. Flavors include pineapple, cherries, tangerine and brown sugar. Another wine that is hard to set down. So juicy and delicious.
