The 2013 Euclid Tandem Cabernet is the first vintage of a new blend for us. The Tandem means that this is a blend of both Lucas and Mike’s tastes. The grapes are primarily from the Mackenzie Mueller Vineyard in South Napa. The grapes are handpicked and sorted before fermentation. It was aged in 50% New French oak and 50% once used French oak for 24 months.
This is an elegant wine with great structure and balance with good acidity. It has aromas and flavors of exotic spice, vanilla, black pepper, dark chocolate and a floral note of primrose. It finishes with a fresh note of orange zest.

The 2014 Euclid “Tandem” Cabernet is our second release of this blend produced from the McKenzie Mueller Vineyard. Warm days and cool nights in Southern Napa allowed this vintage a long hang time on the vine, and great fruit maturity.
Aged in 60% new French oak and 40% once used French oak barrels for 24 months.
This wine has great intensity, very good structure, a rich juicy mouthfeel, and wonderful balance. It has a very complex aroma including raspberry, rose petal, Mandarin orange, and dark chocolate. It just smells so enticing. Flavors of raspberry, blueberry, licorice, and dark chocolate lead up to a long, fresh Mandarin zest finish. It is a lovely wine that will age well.

The aromas include cherry, rose petal, tarragon spice, sage and cranberry. Flavors of cherry, coconut, chocolate, and graham cracker lead up to a long, silky finish with fine tannins. It is a feminine wine that will age well.

The 2016 Vintage of our Tandem Cabernet is our fourth from the McKenzie-Mueller Vineyard in the Carneros region of the Napa Valley. This is a velvety wine with good intensity, great structure, good balance, and firm tannins. It is a long persistent wine with a dark deep color. Aged for 26 months in 60 % New French oak barrels and 40% once used French oak. The wine has aromas of black licorice, sage, orange zest, coconut, cigar box and flavors of mocha, dark chocolate, molasses, and a persistent orange zest finish.

The 2017 Tandem Cabernet is a very juicy wine with flavors of dark chocolate and raspberries. The aromas include floral notes of violet and rose as well as coffee candy and caramel. This wine from this vineyard is usually very approachable when released and this one is no exception. It does as well have a great aging potential due to its level of acidity. Our previous releases from this vineyard are a testimony to that.

The 2018 “Tandem” Napa Valley Cabernet is a dense vibrant wine with fine grain tannins and a long persistent finish. The wine was aged in 70% New French oak and 30% once used French oak from our favorite coopers.
The 2018 Tandem has aromas of lavender, cinnamon, bramble berry, plum and all spice. There are flavors of plum, currant, toasted coconut, cumquat with a lemon zest finish.

Our 2019 Tandem Cabernet from the Mackenzie-Mueller Vineyard has wonderful aromas of primrose, and lavender followed by vanilla and blueberry. There are flavors of vanilla, raspberry, grapefruit, cola, and a hint of orange zest are enveloped in a velvety texture with integrated soft tannins.
The wine has a good balance and a long finish. The wine was aged in 75% New French Oak and 25% once used French Oak for 26 months.
